Catskill Craftsmen has become the nation's leading manufacturer of ready-to-assemble domestic hardwood kitchen islands, carts, and work-centers. Catskill Craftsmen manufactured items are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily Northern Yellow Birch. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. A classic returns. Features include a rugged metal base with a hardwood top and slatted shelves. Additional features include locking caster wheels and racks on each end that allow the use of "S" hooks or other hanging storage. Designed by Catskill Craftsmen. Imported. Assembly Required. This review is from: Catskill Craftsmen Contemporary Kitchen Cart (Kitchen) We first ordered this cart from Amazon.com as a used cart. When we received it the cart was in the original packing from the manufacturer. The box was extremely abused and damaged. When we opened the box the table top was broken into several pieces and the rest was dinged and scratched. So we returned that one and ordered the same cart only new. The cart arrived and the box was damaged and abused again. But we had faith and opened it anyway. The cart had some small dings and scratches on it but since we bought it to put the cats food and water on, we decided to keep it. The cart itself is a very nice, heavy duty cart. I just would like to tell the manufacturer that they need to package it better. There was a small thin Styrofoam wrap around the outside and very little Styrofoam in between the pieces. I do love the cart, I just wish it was not damaged. We decided to not return it because we want the cart and any one that we order will come in damaged until the manufacturer changes his... Cons: The wheels should have been larger and more heavy-duty, considering the weight of appliances and items you might put on it. The name is misleading unless there are Catskill Mountains in Malaysia. Miracles: Was not damaged despite almost no packaging material to protect it. This review is from: Catskill Craftsmen Contemporary Kitchen Cart (Kitchen) Needed some extra storage and counter space in a small kitchen. This cart is perfect for my needs! Cart itself is well made and arrived in excellent condition. Simple to assemble, it took just a couple minutes. I like the contemporary look of it. My only complaint, and this is a small one, is the way the wood is joined. You can see where the boards on the shelves and the solid top are spliced together.
